Two-hour horseback rides along the beach are also very popular and promise to be unforgettable. This beach even has its own shipwreck. Since our hotel is situated centrally on the Cape Peninsula, many beaches are within easy reach. Ten kilometres away is the beautiful seaside town of Hout Bay; Kommetjie is a similar distance away, but to the south.
If you prefer slightly warmer waters, Muizenberg is less than half an hour’s drive over Silvermine Pass and past Simon’s Town. Similarly, the beaches of Llandadno, Kalk Bay, Fish Hoek and Scarborough are also within half an hour from our hotel. In fact, there is nothing worth seeing on the Cape Peninsula that will require a drive that is longer than thirty minutes – we are truly centrally located and within easy reach of Kirstenbosch, Table Mountain, Cape Point and Groot Constantia Wine Estate.
