A Good Enough Reason to Visit Noordhoek

Noordhoek is home to some amazing spaces. It is these attractions that make Noordhoek a world class destination for life or holiday. It is made even more so by the folk who have established businesses here and the passion that they have shown for and put into these businesses. A capetonian lives in Cape Town, it goes without saying what a Noordhoeker is!

So we quite simply love what everyone does in Noordhoek and only feel it correct that we share our "Best of Noordhoek" with you. There is lots going on here and with some well taken turns you will unearth the true gems of Cape Town.

It would be silly not to first highlight our village neighbours, the people and businesses of the Noordhoek Farm Village.

The Village vision was brilliant; it was built in 1995 and has blossomed ever since. In the last decade it has seen some great changes and the best of Cape Town certainly decided to make Noordhoek home. Brands and businesses have grown around us, as have family and friends. Cafe Roux has become a place of choice for Cape Town gatherings with their evening sessions and unplugged Sunday's.

Noordhoek beach does not have a boss, but if you don't take your shoes off and feel the sand and fresh Atlantic water between your toes you have missed out. Horse riding is available and a canter along 7km's of pristine beach is possibly hard to beat. The Red Herring, Monkey Valley, Jakes on the Common are all outstanding eateries. Rory's Aegier Beer Project is a legendary story already. A stroll through Cape Point Vineyards and a picnic on their lawn is also as relaxing as it gets. The wine is not half bad either having won International acclaim many years in row. And when you ready to climb Table Mountain National Park and Chapman's Peak beckon. On a hot windless day a swim in Silvermine Dam is a must do.

Then further a field you must also explore. We are priviledged to live in a city that has retained so much open space. The Cape Peninsula is effectively a National Park with a few Seaside villages encompassing it. Kalk Bay is magnificent and a drive through Simons Town to Cape Point and back through Scarborough towards Kommetjie along the Slangkop Pass is well worth the time spent. And when you ready head for Chapman's Peak, right up there as one of the world's greatest drives, and the rest of Cape Town awaits you. But don't rush there, it is so much better right here behind the mountain! It goes without saying we are here to assist so be our guests and if you wish to be taken on the road less travelled ask and we will see what we can do. It's our pleasure to show you Cape Town the way we see it.
