Cape Town accommodation
De Noordhoek Hotel is the perfect Cape Town accommodation for visitors travelling through the Mother City. Our central location places you at the heart of the Cape Peninsula, and close to all the important tourist attractions.
You would have to contend with trying city traffic if you opt for any of the Cape Town accommodation establishments in the city. De Noordhoek is at the southern end of Chapman’s Peak Drive and close to Groot Contantia, Table Mountain, Muizenberg, Simon’s Town, Cape Point Nature Reserve and, indeed, Cape Town itself. You may book interleading rooms and we have four wheelchair-friendly rooms as well.
Peninsula Accommodation
With some 4 million tourists visiting the Western Cape every year, accommodation is always at a premium. The De Noordhoek Hotel is a newly built boutique hotel that serves as the manor house to the Noordhoek Farm Village. Great care has been taken in the design of accommodation in this attractive new hotel. Four of the superlatively comfortable double rooms have been designed specifically for the handicapped, allowing full access for wheelchairs in both the bedrooms and the en-suite bathrooms. When you’re looking for accommodation that is central to the Cape Peninsula, the De Noordhoek Hotel has to be your first choice.
The Noordhoek Farm Village
Located among a number of shady oak trees in the Cape Peninsula is the Noordhoek Farm Village, home to a number of specialty stores and restaurants, a farm stall, a couple of art galleries as well as several craft workshops, where you can actually witness craftsmen at work. The Noordhoek Farm Village is an ideal place to take the children where you can spend a relaxing few hours – leave them in the children’s playground while you explore the shops or enjoy a relaxing drink in the Nag’s Head. There’s even a village farm stall where you can stock up with fresh produce. The Post House houses The Pompous Fly, a delightful olde worlde shoppe that offers a collector’s dream of collectibles, fascinating bric-a-brac and a wide range of interesting items for gifts or simply for yourself.
False Bay Underwater diving
The False Bay waters off Fish Hoek offer some of the finest opportunities in the Western Cape for underwater diving. The area from Jaeger’s Walk to Glencairn has been declared a marine reserve. Diving spots include Sunny Cove, located on the southern side of Fish Hoek Bay, and the Quarry, 2 kilometres South of the village. There is an interactive CD-ROM available from information offices in the Southern Peninsula detailing some 48 different dive sites. The waters of False Bay can be crystal clear at times – this is an excellent place to dive and is only a short drive from Noordhoek and the De Noordhoek Hotel.
