Noordhoek

An excursion down Chapman’s Peak Drive brings you to Noordhoek with its 6-kilometre long wide, sandy beach. Noordhoek is the Cape Peninsula’s last remaining truly “rural” area, with a charming country-village atmosphere. Noordhoek Beach, as it is named, offers some excellent Atlantic surfing conditions and is extremely popular among the horse-riding fraternity. The area, flourishing with old milkwood trees, is an artist’s heaven, and you can see examples of their work alongside that of local craftsmen in the Noordhoek Farm Village. In the farm village lies the De Noordhoek Hotel, newly built and almost totally environmentally friendly, sporting solar heated hot water and energy saving light globes.
