There are obviously a lot of hotels to choose from, but none that is as eco-friendly as the De Noordhoek Hotel. This hotel, which opened recently, is the first hotel to have been built that uses solar heating for all of its hot water needs. In addition, apart from a couple of chandeliers, the hotel uses energy saving light globes throughout, incorporates water-saving shower heads and recycles all of the hotel waste. Four of the luxury accommodation rooms have been specially designed and built for the handicapped, so that each room and its adjoining bathroom are 100% wheelchair friendly with specially built low baths, grip rails and shower seats, amongst others. Another four pairs of rooms have interleading doors enabling them to be used by a large family or party.

Almost every outdoor pastime you can think of can be found within half an hour’s drive of your luxury accommodation, in fact, hotel guests are encouraged to explore and utilize the many outdoor activities to be found in the area. The Cape Peninsula is one of the most spectacular unspoiled areas of the world, and the Noordhoek Valley is one of outstanding beauty.
