Four Star Hotel
Just a few minutes drive from the Southern extremity of the M3 highway in the Cape Peninsula is the newly built four star De Noordhoek Hotel, an hotel with a difference. This splendid hotel was constructed from start to finish with the environment in mind, and is the nearest thing to being completely eco-friendly that an hotel can be. The hotel is located in the Noordhoek Farm Village, home to a number of specialty stores and restaurants, a farm stall, a couple of art galleries as well as a number of craft workshops. This four star hotel is the first hotel in the Cape Peninsula to incorporate solar power for all of its hot water needs. In addition (with the exception of a couple of chandeliers) the hotel uses compact fluorescent lights throughout, incorporates water-saving showerheads and recycles all of its waste.
This four star hotel was designed thoughtfully – four of the rooms are completely wheelchair friendly, with even the en-suite bathrooms being designed for the handicapped, having low baths and plenty of grip rails. Another four pairs of rooms are connected with interleading doors, making them perfect for large families. Being so close to the end of the M3 and the Southern end of Chapman’s Peak Drive, the De Noordhoek Hotel is central all of the attractions of the Cape. Here you are less than half an hours’ drive from the Kirstenbosch Gardens, Groot Constantia Wine Farm and even Cape Point. With a backdrop of Silvermine on the one side and Chapman’s Peak on the other, this picturesque valley is a corner of Paradise. There is no better location for a four star hotel.
